Help Us Donate
This project started with the basic desire to donate and help others during this trying time. COVID-19 has devastated communities worldwide.
Together we wanted to do something. We wanted to help everyone, impacted on every level.
Hoping to make a difference, we have chosen three charities to which we contribute.
The Charities We Chose and Why
The first organization that came to mind was The Red Cross . They are a long established institution, coming to the relief of many across the globe.
Our next focus was on food as this is a huge issue in our country that is not often discussed, but food insecurity is especially prevalent in times like these.
We chose Feeding America after doing our research. They are the "nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization" with locations all over the US. They have food banks, pantries and meal programs which "serve virtually every community in the United States."
Finally, I wanted to donate to the people battling daily on the frontlines by providing them with the LIFE SAVING equipment they need. Since we can't make surgical grade equipment here at home, we figured the least we could do is donate to the people that can.
PPE or personal protective equipment is necessary for those defending us against this pandemic. For those of you who have PPE, many hospitals are accepting donations. However, not everyone has that handy, so a donation to Get Us PPE would do wonders for the medical community!
A THIRD from every mask sold will be donated!
Discounts to Essential Companies and Essential Employees
We are also focusing on non-medical essential workers to make sure they are taken care of. We have partnered with some local essential businesses at substantial discounts while still maintaining our "$5 donated for every mask sold" goal, and keeping their employees safe.
But hey, if masks are not your thing, you can always still make a donation here to these worthy causes!
